Principal's Message

Dear Trailblazer Community,

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the new principal at Stone Ranch Elementary School. At Stone Ranch ideas are nurtured, friendships are developed, and life-long memories are made. Our veteran staff help ensure that we remain academically excellent while simultaneously supporting the social-emotional needs of each child.

I have been an educator for 20 years working as a school counselor, Psychology teacher, and school administrator. I am the proud mother of 3 PUSD students (a junior in high school, a fifth grader, and a second grader). Each of my children have unique needs and experience school differently. It is my goal as your principal to ensure that we recognize the variation among our learners and nurture them to reach their greatest potential. I firmly believe that education is a gift, the maker of dreams, and the educators at Stone Ranch work tirelessly each day to make dreams come true.

My vision for our school community is to continue to build on the foundation of excellence that already exists by fostering a culture of belonging in which we focus on Thinking & Learning, Build Strong Relationships, and continually review Data to ensure that our learners make continuous academic and social-emotional progress.

I am so excited to meet everyone and welcome you to this new school year. Please join me in embracing the spirit of collaboration, open dialogue, and continuous improvement. During the day, students and staff will see me visiting classrooms and spending time with them at lunch. Your insights and suggestions are invaluable and I am eager to hear from each of you. Please don't hesitate to reach out and schedule a time to meet, stop by and say hi at drop off or pick up, or attend one of the coffee with the principal events.

Let's make this a TERRIFIC year!

With gratitude,

Teri Heard
